In a bombshell revelation shaking the real estate industry of Haridwar, a massive scam linked to the 'Santoor City Housing Project' has come to light. Land Mafia Vipin Tyagi and his associates are accused of illegally seizing land and extorting money from plot owners using a forged Supreme Court order.
Rajeev Sharma, a resident of Ghaziabad, has filed a case in the Haridwar court through Krishnakant, a member of the Law and Justice Society, with Advocate Ravikant Sharma representing him. Taking serious note of the matter, the First Judicial Magistrate, Haridwar, has sought a detailed investigation report from Bahadrabad Police Station.
Land Mafia Vipin Tyagi allegedly posed as the owner of the Santoor City project under the banner of Octagon Residential Welfare Association. He showed a fake Supreme Court judgment and forcibly collected ₹15,000 as demarcation charges and ₹1,000 as membership fees from plot holders. When some owners resisted, boundary walls of several plots were demolished, and threats of false criminal cases were issued.
Upon verification by the aggrieved plot holders, the supposed Supreme Court order turned out to be completely bogus.
Legal experts suggest that this could be one of the most audacious forgeries in recent years involving judicial documents. Krishnakant, speaking to the press, called it not just fraud, but a direct assault on the judicial system. He emphasized that the misuse of the Supreme Court’s name is not only criminal but also erodes public trust in the justice system. “Securing justice for the victims and ensuring the harshest punishment for the culprits is our top priority,” he added.
As the investigation deepens, more names are likely to surface, pointing to a wider web of corruption. For hundreds of plot owners in Santoor City, this legal action has emerged as a ray of hope. The case raises serious questions about transparency and accountability in Haridwar’s real estate sector.
